Looking for Affordable Monitors w/ DP

Post by jamesadams0 »

Hi guys,

looking to set up an eyefinity monitor setup in my new system, but cannot find a DP monitor.

Would it be possible to have 2 ATI HD5850s xfired, so that i can have 3 monitors plugged in via DVI?

Because i cant think of another solution because i cant find an affordable DP monitor.

This didn't really fit in the review topic, so I split it.

You need either a monitor with DP or an Active DP adapter. What size monitors are you using now? I picked up a P2210 for my wife today. It was something like $240 before soundbar and taxes. It has DP, DVI and VGA. What do you consider a "reasonable" price?

Lot depends on what res you are looking for. You want to have matching res on the 3 monitors. I just received a p2210 dell yesterday also. $209 bucks. 1680x1050. I had the monoprice dp to vga adapter and I was getting the screen blinking on and off at random times. Had the dell on for 3 hours last night and not one blink. If you can get one monitor with dp. I then got a monoprice minidp to dp cable. I have a 5970. The p2210 does not come with a dp cable.

The Dell P2310's are good budget monitors. I bought 3 of them at $222 shipped each.

Just use the filter and select DP. The prices are in Euro, but they still list from cheapest to most expensive. Also a great way to filter for IPS screens, screens with portrait tilt, resolution ect.
