i want to get a ati 5850 to use with my monitors i have at the moment but not sure if my setup will work with eyefinity.
i have 2 dell e248wfp and a 37inc sharp aquos 1080p lcd tv.

now i want the tv as the center monitor with the two dells either side. whould this work with eyefinity?.

i know ill need a active display port to dvi adaptor but could i set it up like this.

left dvi dell. center lcd tv hdmi. right dell dp-dvi adaptor.

whould i get any problems with this type of setup or should i just not use the tv and get another 24 inc dell?

also when not playing games and using the net ect is there any problems that i should know about.

It should work, but the TV is 1920x1080 and the Dell 24's are 1920x1200. So the Dells will have to go to a non-native resolution of 1920x1080. They all have to run at the same resolution in Eyefinity mode.

But the big issue is the size difference. A couple of inches here and there shouldn't be a problem but that's a lot. You can always give it a shot first, and get another 24" later if the size difference is too much.

I would not recommend this setup, the size and resolution difference is enough to make it one interesting (however, strange) setups I have heard of. Either save up to buy another monitor or sell the TV... but if that isoff limits you could even sell your dells and get other monitors... in any case I think you could expect more comments from the others here.

i will give it a go with what i have and see if it will work. but im going to try and find another 24inc dell just in case. and i can put the tv above the 3 dells on another computer. 8)
