[quote]Everyone is so butt hurt over missing the Prince of Persia content, but A) that game was kind of meh anyway, and B) the ending of the game should damn well be the ending anyway. The DLC should be superflous.

Anyway, from what I heard that game sold like ass across all platforms, so I'm surprised any of them got DLC.

I really liked PoP on PC... i must've been one of the only people that bought a legitimate copy then...

I bought it on Steam day one with the free Sands of Time deal. I was incredibly dissapointed, I found the game to honestly be terrible.

And I don't think piracy was the problem, as I said it didn't sell well on console either. I saw the 360 version in the Target clearance bin a month after it came out.

I don't even remember what the PoP story was...
Honestly it is not the kind of game I wish to replay again ...

preferred Beyond Good & Evil or Fahrenheit: The Indigo Prophecy

I liked the first one for the original Xbox... I thought it was good. You can get the Threesome on amazon though for like 10bucks...

Sorry I'm late to the party (you'll see the reason why later :D )

If you think gaming on a console is better than a PC, sorry I would have to say you're nuts  Given the same title, I'll never buy on a console even if the PC version is months away. Being able to run at true HD and high fps beats playing it on a console any day. I'm not saying that consoles are useless, I use my PS3 for title that's not available on PC (like those JRPG someone mentioned) but if a game is also available on the PC there's no reason to go console.

Best example. Dragon Age. This game is so much better on a PC that no one with a semi current PC and Videocard should consider getting it on a console. (I've pretty much dropped off the net since getting this game and am just now coming up for breather.

did you mention DRM in the rant?

kind of annoying having to chase a manufacturer if you have to format your pc to get your activation back

If I were a publisher I would have a sense of humor about the DRM. (Well, not really)

I would make the game lock itself when the activations run out, but not the entire game. A new quest would pop up that is selectable from the main menu, "The Quest for an Activation Scroll". You would then play a quest that is about 2 hours long and at the end be rewarded the titular scroll.

The game is then unlocked, yay.

NO CHEAT CODES ALLOWED.

:)

Seriously, I don't understand why people re-format there drive and do clean install from time to time. . Yes I know that Windows s**ks and all the crap it accumulate eventually will cause some lost of performance. But is it really that big a deal to start with? Even a 5% drop is hardly noticeable if you have a fast enough system. I have never had to re-format and re0install on a system. If I feel I'm beginning to push the system to the limit. I just go get a faster CPU and videocard or worst case build a new system.

Well, I'm not going to get into a DRM debate here. But I have no problem with a limited install as long is it's like 5 (was a bit pissed at Mass Effect's 3) but Is seems EA went back to disc check for Dragon Age so you can install as many copies as you want and all you need is have the disc which I can live with for desktops but I'll probably get a no-disc hack for my laptop when I travel.

You seem to assume that the reformats are needed because of performance issues? that's not always the case !
Actually some DRMs used to install/uninstall in unsafe environments, which meant you COULD actually crash &/or lose data during those operations. not even considering the fact that this DRM was installed without prior consent nor knowledge of the matter.
all this due to poor DRM developper code whose only goal is (let's face it) to take control of your computer in your place and decide what you should do.

Hey imagine you try to smoke weed and a police officer immediately shows up and put a chewing gum into your mouth by force (without your permission or explicit consent whatsoever?) so ok maybe you shouldn't smoke weed but that doesn't justify the "chewing gum effect" ;)

I'm just saying there's several reasons not to like DRMs.
And also I don't format often myself but I know several people which tend to get crap software over crap software which even if it's not malware in itself have a tendency to overload and slow the computer

Plus there's also those times where you wonder why you crash after 24Hours of continuous game play, only to find out a poor module on some unrelated piece of software had a handle leak which makes your computer crash once the handle count reaches a treshold...

This way just to say there's several reasons to format a computer for those who do that (which I don't ;) )

I agree there are many people addicted to reformating, and that never made sense to me either. I reformat when I absolutely have to, and never otherwise. I am dreading my upcoming reformat to switch from Win7 release candidate to full version.
