GAH holy distorted screen BATMAN!

[SARS tk'ed my babies!!!!]

Alright, so everything has just gone to (heck) in a handbasket for me.

I got a nasty virus recently, and I cleared it up a few days later. The rest of my computer functions seemed to be running fine.

Today, when I was installing new drivers for my Geforce 8800, the list of resolutions dissapeared.

I am currently being forced to run my monitors at 1280 x 1024, when they should be at 5040 x 1050.


The first thing I wanted to try was a system restore, but the virus seems to have knocked out all of my previously saved system restore points. *GULP*


I am not sure what my next step should be.

uninstall and then reinstall the lastest GXM from the matrox site

make sure to slect widescreen mode in the setup, it will show 1650x1050 x3

It has not completly solved the problem, but at least I can see my screen now.


I am now running at 3840 x 1024.

5040 x 1050 is not on the list of resolutions to choose from, so that is my next big issue.


Any thoughts on how I may be able to get that onto the list?
