Erm, "give it a shot" is the least you can do before you make your own opinion, right ?

I haven't so much made an opinion as I've made a prediction.

I'm just saying, everyone seems to adore the original game, so I really should give the remake a try once it comes out.

A better conclusion would be that you should play the original game. Not only is that the game which everyone adores, but you don't need to wait for it to come out.

Everyone should give everything a try.

That would make a lot more sense if we all had infinity time and resources. Unfortunately, we don't - nobody can give everything a try.

You cannot know if you like sometime till you try it.

I think I'm better at guessing than you give me credit for. Everyone has to guess, simply because few have enough money and no one has enough time to try everything. So far my record has been pretty good - I have not once bought myself a computer game I didn't think was worth the money. You can't get that kind of record with a "you never know until you try" attitude.

Nice example of tautology ;)

I'll keep your prediction in mind when the time comes for me to make an opinion, but I'll still have to try the game myself. I for one don't "guess" bad games. There are simply the games I know and those I don't, among which is a number of "those that never appealed to me".

I got your point sir, but although I've often been disappointed by sequels to good games, I don't think even the worst Alice 2 you could think of could be a threat to Alice 1's memory or chances to appear on gog.com. It'd be a pity, which is bad enough, but that's all.

Thanks for the headsup anyway, I'm sure American will be thankful to you for starting the buzz

You can't try every game that will ever be made. Why this one, instead of one that has a higher chance of being good?

I don't think even the worst Alice 2 you could think of could be a threat to Alice 1's memory or chances to appear on gog.com.

More extreme situations have happened. Take Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude - a bad sequel that eclipsed the six classic adventure games that preceded it, and so far still remains better remembered.
