Wash, rinse, repeat. Every single stunt run is then a cinch.
Yeah, that's what I did in NFS: MW after learning where all the pursuit breakers were by memory, rinse and repeat. I even made videos using every one of them and one using every one plus most jumps with the cinematic cam turned on.

Unfortunately though, once you know a race game that well it becomes rinse and repeat as you say, vs spontaneous, and therefore more predictable and less thrilling.

Once you get the Carson GT Concept, everything suddenly becomes amazingly easy (including the barrel rolls) ;)
Now that I think of it, that is a stunt car and I do have it in the yard. I passed it up because it wasn't as fast as some of the others I've been using.

Seems no matter what car you use it does some things way better than others, and it gets annoying to keep driving to the junk yards to swap them.

I generally pick cars that are good at most everything but stunts, because the races, takedowns and marked man events are more of an adrenaline rush IMO.

Honestly, if you're not using a "speed" class car and you want some of the flexibility of the boosting the stunt cars give you, then the Carson GT Concept is the fastest one in the game.

The game never used to give me much of an adrenaline rush, more of an energy rush when I got PO'd at it repeatedly making me watch slow-motion videos of myself crashing instead of giving me a timer (note: this was before any option to turn those off).

Faster than the Racing Oval Champ? If so, I'll have to double check the stats. It may have been that I was looking for the fastest Aggression class vehicle, which is the Oval Champ as far as I know. It handles fairly well and looks and sounds cool too.

I started looking into fast Aggression cars because I got tired of constantly wrecking into traffic and other cars in the event. The Takedown 4x4 is quite a brute. It's quite a change of pace to drive one of those in a high speed race and suddenly find that not all collisions with vehicles are wrecks that set you back.

I agree that the slow mo cam gets old, I wish it could be turned off. It also has a very annoying tendency to reset you on the main road after a takedown is shown, even if it happened on a shortcut off the side of it. I have such an instance shown in one of the videos I captured. It can be quite frustrating, esp if you wreck into a car on the main road right after the cinematic when you had planned to take the shortcut instead.

BTW, do you know how to disable the slow mo crash cinematic? I read it can be turned off but I don't see a way to do it. It's cool to look at but gets annoying when you have to do a lot of restarts.

I know for a fact you could do it on the PS3 version, as I did it, but now that I am playing with the PC version I can't find the option either.

Yeah and you can't add your own music either, like on the PS3. Good to know they at least offered it on PS3 though, maybe eventually they'll do it with the PC version too. Another thing I'd like to disable is the damn fog effect. It's hard enough to see traffic without it and it ruins the look of any videos you want to capture.

Oh btw, tried the GT Concept DP, don't know why you like that car. It's a bit faster than most stunt cars but slippery as hell handling wise. The cars in this game handle badly enough as it is without using a car that just makes it worse. I didn't find it was any better off the split ramps either.

My favorite car so far is the Krieger Arachnid or whatver... that car turns like a dream at high speeds.

The stats always deceive anyways... always try out the car to see if you like it.

All the cars handle poorly, that's just an after-effect of the split-trigger brake/gas split. If you never touch the god-awful handbrake and instead use the main brake for turns and then add a touch of boost on the tail end, you'll fly around the whole map.

I honestly haven't tried it in the PC version (maybe it's different, who knows), but on both the 360 and PS3 versions the car was amazing.

From the Burnopedia Wiki: "[The Casrson GT] is quite possibly the most well rounded car in the entire game. Its speed/boost are very good, its strength is decent, and its maneuverability is pretty good as well. While it may not the best car for any of the events, it can be readily used for all of them."

To each his own though :D

Wow, I suck at this game. I've had it on the PS3 since it came out on the console, and I'm still barely half way through it.

 your new avatar

Game received, having loads of fun with it :D basically looking for fences and billboards to smash through. The racing itself leaves a lot to be desired, but that's no real problem. This game is all about driving too fast and searching for collectables, and I love that. Too bad the upgraded car versions are so easy to get - upgrades should be challenging to obtain and feel noticeably better than stock models, it's not the case here. I only collect'em for the heck of it. :(

You like?

It's one of the winners (I forget whether it was the overall winner) of 2008's BBC Wildlife Photographer awards.

I loved the fact that races were open. :)

"Here's the start. There's the finish. Get there first."

I won a few races by deliberately avoiding the routes the AI took... sometimes, though, it can mean one wrong turn and *blam* need to restart the race. :(

And yes, I find myself still using one of the early vehicles (I forget which, been a while since I played) rather than many of the later ones I unlocked.
