Hi folks.

Does anyone have any insight whether this is possible with the current hardware?

3x 1920x1200's would be sweet :)

As it stands right now, the answer is no, because the highest supported with TH2go is 5040x1050, and that was patched in only recently.

In the future? I'm not sure. Right now, there's some sort of limit in Vista as to how big of a display you can have, which is what the current display size is just barely under, so that's one thing that needs to be out of the way first.

Outside of that, I'm sure some more informed individuals could tell you why/why not this can/cannot happen... It would take one hell of a video card combination to drive the thing though, that's for sure... :D

not really with SLI cards and future cards will only get faster.

if you play older games you can probably run 3x1920x1200 without too much problem. and with never games you may set the setting to medium instead of high

I guess, but I like running the new games as high as possible.... :)

BTW, after some sifting around in the forums, I found that it's a limit in the video cards, and that it was doubled from DX9 to DX10... which is why they recently patched in the 3x1680x1050...

So, maybe with DX11, the limit will go up even higher, and we'll get that kind of resolution...

This has nothing to do with DX9, 10, 11 or 50. The limit for TripleHead2Go is the DVI port.
3x 1680x1050 requires a 57 Hz refresh rate to fit into the DVI port's maximum bandwidth, 3x1920x1200 would demand a much lower frequency (roughly 45 Hz). Most monitors can't do that (not to mention how awful fast-paced FPSs and racing games would feel at that freq). End of the story. Future connection standards like DisplayPort will certainly help, but we'll have to wait for new hardware - graphics cards, monitors, TH2G - using it.

You can always try and display that kind of res using SoftTH. It doesn't have the same limitations as TH2G, since you're using one output per screen.
