so im pretty sure im going to be upgrading my current rig with the 4780x2, but for the life of me i cant find any frame rates with 3840x1024 resolution!!! especially im looking for rates for World of Warcraft with the recent graphics overhaul. and also most first person shooters. any help would be greatful, someone must use this card with a th2g!!!

heres my specs that i can remember off the top of my head:

Custom watercooling, using dangerden/frozencpu.com stuff...e8400 not currently overclocked, asus maximus mobo(crossfire board, probably will add another 4780x2 later), 4gb of OCZ Platinum DDR3 @ 1600mhz, bfg factory waterblocked 8800gts o/c'd , 2 150gb raptors in raid 0, and a rocketfish 750watt psu...blah blah blah, i use a ergotron triple monitor stand with 3 19'' samsung 940bx monitors with my faithful TH2G.

thanx for all your help guys , i love my surround gaming and am annoyed that i have to turn down graphics properties :x its hard enough for me to not be on the max settings :)

Graphics cards reviews never go TripleHead... but 2560x1600 is very close to 3840x1024, so look for reviews of the 4870 X2 that use that res in their benchmarks.

Here are "smart charts" from a german article : http://www.computerbase.de/artikel/hardware/grafikkarten/2008/test_ati_radeon_hd_4870_x2/23/#abschnitt_performancerating_qualitaet
Pick a resolution and filtering options, hover over your previous graphics card model and see by how much the X2 outperforms it

The X2 will eat WoW alive, thats considered an easy to run game by todays standards.

I wouldn't bet on something like Crysis maxing out though. Especially if CF still doesnt work for it. I never got more than one of my two 4850s to activate in Crysis :(

wow is still cpu heavy more than gpu heavy. even if you run at that res with 4x AA and shaders maxed it will still be cpu limited i would of thought
