I am looking at the BenQ at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824014139 and the recommended resolution is 1680 x 1050. My video card, a 7950GX2, has at most 1600 x 1200.

What exactly does the difference mean as far as playing games?

Also what is the native resolution for the BenQ.

Also there are two models, a FP222W and a FP222WH.
The difference with the 'H' model is it has something to do with wide screen.

Thanks.

Your 7950GX2 will do 1680x1050 no problem when you have a screen that will do that res ...
Resolutions that you see at the moment will be for your current screen.

GeForce 7 Series GPU's Specifications ...
Advanced Display Functionality

* Dual integrated 400MHz RAMDACs for analog display resolutions up to and including 2048x1536 at 85Hz
* Dual-link DVI capability to drive the industry's largest and highest resolution digital flat panel displays up to 2560x1600

1680x1050 is a widescreen resolution 1600x1200 is 4:3
See the difference ... Screenshots ...

1680x1050 is the native res for both the FP222WH and the FP222W ...

The FP222WH has a HDMI input the FP222W doesn't.
