I would love to see the Call of Duty developers do a game based around the landing on Normandy beach on D-Day, the only game i've seen do that is the utter piece of shit series Medal of Honor.

And really CoD 4 should be called CoD 3 b/c CoD 3 was made so quick and for nex gen consoles only.

I guess it's about time they abandoned the WWII genre and moved on, so let's see what they do next.

COD2 had some parts of it, the landing, but not to the whole...impossiblity of MOHAA.

I agree it would be sweet.

Call of Duty's campaign system, essentially playing through a number of small individual and independent scenarios stacked back to back, has been ditched, instead you have two storylines, one played from viewpoint of an SAS trooper and the other a member of US elite fighting force Force Recon, that interweave, with both plots coming together in a climax on Russian soil.

Sounds like the whole HL 1/ Opposing Force / Blue Shift experience...

I never finished any CoD game.. mainly b/c I was playing so many damn games at once, but I asked friends that finished them for possible Normandy content and they said negatory. on a side note I did buy the CoD Warchest on Steam a few months ago.... I should prob actually play them..., Also.. I am actually disappointed with CoD 2's multiplayer.. I seem to stick with DoD:Source for my WWII online gaming needs.

I can't describe how much I despise the entire MoH series, I think it's horrible garbage, content and programming wise.

Medal of Honor no one really plays anymore. COD4 is interesting however I hope it will not be such a failure, if they do it right. The console technology is not that different from that of a computer which kinda makes me want to kill the programmers that make a game for consoles only. It should be the other way around.

I still play medal of honor  .... That is because the demo still has about 20 servers up and it can be fun at times :p

I will probably get COD4 if my pc can run it....

It would be nice if we had enough money or we could collect enough money to host a server with a game on it for us WSGFers :D

Yeah, CoD2 did an almost D-Day invasion, but it was the reinforcements or something, not the main force, and climbed the cliffs at the back end. Still an awesome level in an awesome game though.

I kind of wish this was a Vietnam game, or even an Iraq game... keep it non-fiction... but I'll still play and love the Infinity Ward goodness.

CoD 2 did D-Day (just beat it on veteran :D ) but it was Pont-Du-Hoc, not Omaha.
