HEllo friends
I have a question to you. Hope that you will really help me because Until now i didn't find out an answer from anybody
OK, i want to make may 20 WIDE SCREEN of my 205BW , in format 4:3 (Normal Screen) for playing Counter Strike in 800 x600 resolution.
This doesn't exist in widescreen...just 1680x1050 ...that is to higher for this kind of game...IT NEED LOWER RESOLUTION..equivalent of 600x800 for normal screen.
For this does exist a soft or something, program?? Because this monitor don't have an option format: 4:3, 16:9, 16:10 ..... And in forum disscussions that i read until now is very simple to do that BUT ANYBODY DON't say in what way.

PS:
I have VIDEO - ATI RADEON X300 SE, (AMD 64Bit 939BOX , 3200+)
(very satisfied with the colors of this monitor)

PS2: When i install the CD_with soft for my monitor, I receive a message that my sistenms don't have enough resources to suport that soft. Why? ...other succed to have 4:3 format with much older video boards... But don't say in what way. OR EQUIVALENT TO 600x800 in wide screen..if this exist)

Hope that you will help me friends.(with wide- :) screens)

Download the program Powerstrip. It will allow you to make custom resolutions with black bars on the sides.

Read this tutorial to make it work: http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=601

I don't think there is actually an option called 4:3. Instead you should make a new resolution in the program and enable fixed aspect scaling.
I'm no expert on this program though since I have only used it once and that was quiet some time ago.
I think you should just give it a try when you get home indeed.
