It's native. There is no entry in the SGU list because rFactor controls the resolution via a config.ini line VideoMode=XXX. The problem is, the number XXX is pulled from a list enumerated by your OS, and depending on the OS options, the same number can be two different resolutions on two different systems. This means the SGU can't be used to make the entry.

==Game Information==

rFactor is a racing sim from Image Space Incorporated. It aims for an extreme level of accuracy and flexibility. The simulation model includes details from aerodynamics down to how the temperature affects the tire physics, and is capable of modeling any kind of four-wheeled vehicle from any era. The engine is derived from F1 Challenge '99-'02, but the game does not feature any licensed vehicles, teams, or circuits.

==Version==

This information is based on the demo, and may or may not apply to the full game.

==Method==

Widescreen resolutions are supported natively. Just select your resolution from the launcher.

==Screen change==

Hor +.

1024x768

1280x800

==Supported resolutions==

Every resolution I tested worked.
Confirmed: 1280x720, 1280x768, 1280x800, 1440x900, 1680x1050, 1920x1080, and 1920x1200

==Singleplayer anomalies==

2D screens stretch. They do not affect gameplay.

1024x768

1280x800

==Multiplayer support==

Multiplayer is hor +.

==Aspect ratio support==

The game automatically uses the correct aspect ratio for your resolution. Very wide aspect ratios seem to cause part of the vehicle to fail to render properly.

1280x720

1280x800

1920x640 (3:1)

==HUD stretch==

The HUD does not stretch.

==Cut-scenes==

There are no cut-scenes in the demo. Are there any in the full game?

==Grading==

Calculated grade: B
Potential grade: B+

Major unresolved issues:
None

Minor unresolved issues:
Does the full game have any cut-scenes?
If so, how are they handled?

Summary of widescreen-related flaws:
2D screens are stretched.

Cranky's coverage estimate: 99%

I don't see how the HUD stretches. The speedometer still looks like a circle, and the text in the overlays doesn't look stretched to me. Am I just missing it?

That's odd. When I took the shots, I was certain that the speedometer became ovoid. But I don't see it not. Thanks for the catch, report corrected.
