Games in 1280x720 Help?

Hi mainly im a little annoyed with my TV/Monitor its only got a max res of 1360x768 which is useless to me.

1280x720 on the other hand isnt too bad, but a lot of games dont "allow" me to pick that option in the graphics.

So now i have to run "most" games in 1024x768 and we all know that aint pritty...

So untill i get the 24" dell is there anything i can do to solve the rubish resolution options...

(realy only HL2 works with the right res)

Many games have tricks to setting custom resolutions via .ini files or the registry. 1280x720 is not that uncommon as it is 720p. Check the master game list for details on your favorite games:

What games have you tried, other than HL2? So far, Civilization III, Galactic Civilizations II, ParaWorld, Supreme Commander, and Titan Quest have been confirmed to *not* support 720p. In contrast, 116 games have been confirmed to support it, though not necessarily out of the box.

And the MGL is your friend. For games that don't support custom resolutions out of the box, the MGL will tell you where to find instructions for using them manually.
