Battlefield 2 / Out of Range error with shortcut hack

Post by Beyond »

I have my target path modified like so:

"D:Program FilesEA GAMESBattlefield 2BF2.exe" +menu 1 +widescreen 1 +szx 1680 +szy 1050

However, when the game starts up, my vx2025wm returns "out of range", and switches to a lower resolution.

Help, please?

If needed, I have a 7800gt.

If you had bf2 installed before you got your monitor you must delete your video.con file. "My DocumentsBattlefield 2ProfilesDefaultVideo.con"

Thanks.

However, I didn't have to do that. I switched DVI ports and it worked fine! :D

I have the same Monitor. I got that problem as well. I had to set my in game resolution to something the game can do, then put in the string to the shortcut to get it to work. Looks great.
