Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor 3440x1440 Problem
So I just got my Dell U3415W and it is really nice. So far I have one problem. Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor will not run at my default resolution. For some reason it runs at 3360x1440 leaving small black bars on the ends of the screen. Has anyone else had this issue? I did edit the .cfg file in the WB Games folder but it didn't make a difference. This is not a big issue but a minor annoyance.

Re: Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor 3440x1440 Problem
I just picked up a LG 29" today to test and see if I'd like the leap into Ultra Wide Gaming and I'm having the same issue as you. It will only run at 2520x1080 with the black bars rather than the native 2560x1080

This happening because this game uses constants, instead calculate real aspect ratio.
It uses 21/9 aspect ratio for resolutions 3440x1440 and 2560x1080, but this is not right aspect ratio, because
21/9 = 2.333333
1080 * 2.333333 = 2520 ie 2520x1080 resolution
1440 * 2.333333 = 3360 ie 3360x1440 resolution
That is why you getting small black bars on this resolutions.
To remove black bars you can use Cheat Engine.
Find float value 2.333333 ("Writable" option should be gray) and change it to
2.388888 for 3440x1440 resolution
2.370370 for 2560x1080 resolution

Flawless Widescreen removed the black borders for me. Have you tried using that?

Tim, did you still have the issue of Sauron's army getting cut off in the 21:9 ?? That was also the big issue fixed in Flawless.

Re: Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor 3440x1440 Problem
Encountering a really strange issue when trying to play this. I can't select 3440x1440 as a resolution while fullscreen mode is enabled. Listed under 100% is 1800x1440. When I run the game in Windowed, Windowed Fullscreen, or Borderless, 3440x1440 is listed as the 100% native resolution and the game looks as it should but with performance issues because of windowed mode. Playing this on an AOC Q3477, graphics cards are x2 R9 290. Flawless widescreen unfortunately doesn't help. I also can't seem to find anyone else with this issue doing google searches. Any thoughts?
