Freaking Unreal engine! Is there an in-game HUD? And is that centred? Hopefully this is something that Hayden or Helifax will pick up.

The Bureau: XCOM Declassified
Lost Planet 3
Both are UE3 games with menu scaling issues(LP3 could use a FOV boost), good luck man and thanks big time for all your work as always.
Thanks

Oh good stuff - Hayden might be looking at the bureau as well, but I'm not sure. but they both have the exact same problem with vert- menu's. The bureau actually has some nifty little tweaks in the XGame.ini that you can adjust to bring the hud into the centre monitor...BUT in doing so it brings across a little green box on the right hand side (which was obviously suppose to be off screen) - but if you do have a look Helifax, then you'll see what I'm talking about.
I was able to adjust the hud like I said and the FOV and it looks great, but yeah green box (minor) - vert- menu's is MAJOR as you can not progress in game.

helifax wrote:God I hate Unreal Engine especially these console oriented games:)) Fixing the menus wasn't that hard... But now it breaks everything else.... Again one memory address, one value used for 100001 things... It is weird since for things like the Backspace menu it works while for others it doesn't... Reminds me of Mass Effect games....pain in the ass to fix...

With XCOM,I decided to play it with a single screen. Too much hassle for a game that wasn't all that good.

I will also look at XCOM in the following days and I hope it will be easier/cleaner to fix than Lost Planet 3, but until now I didn't had the time to look at it;)) Don't worry is on my list also;)) but currently I lack HDD space to install that one also (imagine that:))))))) )
