asus 7970 matrix + eyefinity

hi all could someone tell me i have a asus 7970 matrix card and im wondering if i need an active adapter still if i want to run 3 monitors

No you don't! You can connect all your 3 Monitors directly via Displayport Cable!

Hum.... if you're running 2 Monitors via DVI connection (or Passive DP-> HDMI/DVI) Adapters you won't be able to use a Passibe DP->HDMI Adapter! I think the Matrix also has the same limit like normal HD7970 with 2 Outputs via TMDS

thats a shame ill have to go and buy an active adapter now :S

i did send asus tech support an email to ask them about this but after 3 months i dont think there going to answer me
