Only joined Thursday last week after reading the articles and forums for just over a month.So Gloucester, that's the Gloucester about 2:30 hours west of London (UK) if any of you were wondering.
So me? I'm 29 soon to hit Three Zero and I'm a computer programmer by day and gamer and husband the rest of the time. It's C#, .NET, SharePoint and web stuff I deal with on a day to day basis, but I do dabble in anything that comes my way including phpBB and wordpress at the moment.
So why did I join? I've been back in PC gaming for just over a year now, I've always had a pretty good rig I just never had the GFX card(s) to play games as I used it mainly for dev, watching films the wife didn't want to and general messing about. So after 10 years away from PC gaming, I ditched the Xbox and got myself a GTX560Ti which soon became 2
After several months of bliss along came a few games I love(d) Far Cry 3, F1 2012 & Hitman Absolution, The two 560s were fine however NVIDIA are slow on the uptake in terms of SLI profiles so I sold them and went for the Gigabyte 7950 windforce 3. Jan 2013 came along and it was time for an upgrade, I usually keep my PC for 3-4 years and although the i7 950, 12GB and mobo were in perfect working order it was time to sell them on while I could get some money for them and get the new kit.
