This game is a continuation of the F1 series of driving simulators by Codemasters. Like we've come to expect from Codemasters, it has perfect support for Eyefinity. Not lacking in detail, this fine example should keep any F1 simulator fan satiated... until next year.

How is it "not acceptable" ? 16:3 = 48:9 = 3x 16:9, so you're entitled to use any nomination you like best.
48:9 does make more sense to me, because I see it more as a "symbol" of the multi-monitor setup than a fraction. 16:10 is likewise rarely referred to as 8:5, although this would be correct mathematically speaking. What can you do, consensus is the grain of salt in Science's dish... ;)
Unlike DiRT 2, this game does not support 3x1P. It constrains FMVs and the main menu to the center screen and letterboxes it. In-race gameplay will use all 3 screens, center the HUD to the center monitor (undesired in 3x1P), and use a surround aspect-ratio that's much wider than the actual aspect-ratio in use. I have not found a solution to this yet.
