I have noticed a great deal of information provided, idea, tips and tricks, but I have not yet found the answer to my question, and I am hoping that one of you kind folks might be able to either point me in the right direction, or lend some advice as I honestly have no clue on what I am doing here.

I just built this last month, here is a brief list of the current build:

Case:Corsair Carbide Series 300R Black Steel
Processor: Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz HD Graphics 3000
Motherboard: ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 LGA 1155 (PCI Express 3.0 x2 slots)
Video Card: ASUS HD7950-DC2T-3GD5 (Single card in PCI Express 3.0 slot)
Memory: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900)
Power Supply: CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX750 V2 750W ATX12V v2.31 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active
Primary Drive: Crucial M4 CT128M4SSD2 2.5" 128GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Primary Optical: ASUS Black Blu-ray Drive SATA
Displays: ASUS VS248H-P 24-Inch Monitor x 2
Dual partition / Dual boot OS (Windows 7 Pro / Ubuntu)

The only games I have on this system and that actually get played are SWTOR and WoW and both are played on maximum settings on everything graphics related.

Please forgive me if I am asking questions that have already been addressed somewhere else on the site, either I am using the wrong keywords for the search field or perhaps I just need someone to point me in the right direction, either way, here goes.

I would really like to set up a Eyefinity system in a 3x1 +1extended mode and quite possibly a 3x1 +1+1 extended at a later date if thats even possible, the reason I say this, and granted this may be the biggest noob question out there, but for the life of me, I can't figure out how taking a card that will supposedly run up to 6 individual monitors, but only has 4 ports on the back, and from what I have been reading, needs active cables in order to achieve this set up, which confuses me further because when I look at the cables adapters there is still only one output port, so I guess my first noob question is with 4 ports how do you make 6 monitors run individually?

Secondly, I see in quite a few posts that in order to have the MiniDP be active, it needs a USB plug to provide power to it, yet when you goto the AMD website:
AMD APPROVED DONGLE LIST
there are quite a few shown with no USB needed, such as:
The UltraAV® Mini DisplayPort to DVI Active Single-Link active adapter

Third and last for now, could someone please recommend a shopping list of which adapters that you would suggest I buy in order to make a 3x1 +1 extended or 3x1 +1+1 extended (All Landscape) then maybe, if you feel generous with your knowledge, point me in the direction of a YouTube video for set up.

Thank you in advance for your time,

Gary

This one? Pluging more than 4 Monitors SHOULD work with that MiniDP to2xHDMI active adapter. Search the Forum here... Some1 got few of them and tested them!

Then for Active Adapter! They DONT need to be USB Powered anymore! There are new ones that work without.

Yes, that's the monster in my machine, and I think I found a explanation to one of my questions, the first one, that is:

Even though mine is a 7950, they both have 2 MiniDP's so they should work the same way, Yes?

so my follow up question is, if I use one Mini DisplayPort, and daisy chain 3 monitors thru the DP on the monitors, can I still use the other MDP to the Zotac adapter giving me 2 HDMI outputs for a total of 5 monitor display?

One other question comes to mind, what cable do you folks recommend I use to daisy-chain the monitors together to get the max resolution on the three monitors

I think these are the adapters you are referring to.Zotac Adapter @ newegg.com

Hahahahaha, well yeah "Theoretically" you should be able to "Daisychain" 3 Monitors on one DP output. Same Ways you should "Theoretically" be able to use DP to DP Hub and from DP Hub to each of the 3 Monitors.
Big Problem in that! You need a Display with TWO Displayports which is Daisychain able! i don't know any who could!
OR you ned a DP Hub which can output 3 DP Signals with 1 input! Neither do i know of them!

The only thing that realy exists is this Zotac mini/DP to 2x HDMI !
Bhawthorne has 3 of them in Use and could tell you more if they realy would work like you expect!
Thread about the Adapter: http://widescreengamingforum.com/forum/forums/multi-monitor-gaming/amd-eyefinity-discussions/16101/zotac-release-passive-displayportm?page=2

You should be able to use 4 Monitors with the 2 mini DP ouptputs and a 5th Monitor over DVI or HDMI though.
