anybody notice a fps boost? I read a review/evaluation of the hotfix and they shows the memory use way way down, but the fps before and after the fix was the same.

I need to correct myself too. I said 164 forcware above, I guess I was not thinking its 163.44 that is the new beta bios that I had installed.

I don't think you will see a performance increase, but application stability is greatly improved.

Just installed Windows 7 RC1 build 7100 and previous to that I was using Beta build 7000.

Under the beta version, I ran NVidia Windows 7 beta driver 181.71 and the beta gxm and was able to get 5040x1050 without a problem.

There is a new NVidia beta driver 185.81 so I thought I would install it with RC1 and beta gxm. Unfortunately I couldn't get the wizard to set res at 5040x1050.

I rolled back to 181.71 and re-ran the wizard and I was able to setup 5040x1050 res again np.

I would recommend sticking with 181.71 and beta gxm on Windows 7 versions atm. Anyone else have any luck?

This is also an issue with Windows 7 RC1 client, I know the point release is slightly different, but it seems similiar, and I have gt200 series cards and 64 bit as well. Stick with an earlier working driver for now I would think.

Yeah, saw your other post on it and agree, seems to be the same issue. Annoying that so many bugs (lots of NVCP problems apparently) and completely open issues like this still pass WHQL certification.

I got the same problems! It doesn´t matter if Win 7 or Vista (both x64) is installed! I tried the drivers (185.xx whql and beta) on both OS and always got the same problem!

GXM displays: its not possible to set my resolution, or something like that ( i dont remember what exact expression, but it was the first thing after you got to reboot after setting up GMX)

But with 182.xx nearly everthing went fine! Now I got 5040x1050@57 on both OS.....

In my oppinion its an NV driver issue!!

mero, your avatar is far too big in dimensions and filesize. From the profile page ...

...its width can be no greater than 168 pixels, the height no greater than 105 pixels, and the file size no more than 10 KB.

Please change it ASAP, thanks.

Hmm with the 185.85whql its not just 5040x1050 that doesnt work. 4320x900 doesnt either - no problem with the 182.50whql release (both tested on 7rc1 x64 and vista x64), so it really is a driver issue. well it sucks in my opinion, as the ambient occlusion setting is a nice gimmick, especially in source games/mods (playing the beta1 of fakefactorys half-life 2 cinematic mod 10 lately).

Hmm... is 182.50whql the lastest NVidia Drivers that handle TripleHead correctly?
