hello and first timer here. I had ati card and had just 2 dells. even when i was given the gateway 30" monitor, i could run both the 30 and 1 24".
Fast forward, i now have a new toy and wow. I connected the gateway via hdmi and works. now unsure how to get the other 2 monitors up in running.

From what i gather, the 30 running at the largest resolution, i should get a hdmi - mini display port adapter, active (means i need the usb cable attachment) correct?
From what i see, my screen isnt going any bigger then 1920x 1080 (recommended setting) i want to connect the 2 24's (one on each side and hopefully run the gamescreen across
all 3 (i realize that i wont or may have issues not having the same size screens).

Before i go spend 100 bucks.. do i need:

1 active hdmi-minidisplay port adatper for main screen (about 100 dollars)
1-2 dvi - mini port adapters, (for like 25 dollars)

i just want to max out bf3 on all 3 screens and use all the gpu power i have.

trying to figure out what i need is taxing since i dont quite understand all the terminology.

thanks in advance!!

/bow

For Eyefinity it's important that all Monitors have the same Resolution (i.e. 1920x1080)

I think its going to look awfully horrible! if middle screen is higher than the other 2 the game still shows same picture! So a Houseroof on main monitor wouldn't be on same hight like on the 24"monitor on the right!

Which Graphiccard do you have? An AMD 6970, or 6870.... can give 2 monitors out with DVI/HDMI and you just need 1 Minidisplayport to HDMI active Adapter!

thanks for the reply!

I decided to just go get 3 of the accell mini-dvi-d links. kept the hdmi connected and then used 2 of the 3 adapters to attach the 24's.
the 30 is not running full screen so i have like a 2" on each side of the main screen, but full on the 24 sides.

trying out deus ex and working ok. since my 30 has dual link dvi, i am going to try to hook that up vs hdmi and see if that helps.

if i need to get the active usb powered adapter i can. i was looking for a 1) hdmi-mini display port or 2) a duel link div-to mini display port.

thanks for the help. i have both the 24's elevated to the same height so except for the bezel and short middle display, its a start.

hope this works out better for bg3.
