Hello, I've lurked these forums from time to time for what feels like many years. I've been continually thankful for the many fixes I have come across here, so big thanks first and foremost.

There are three single player games I am looking to get an FoV fix for, all of which are Steam versions. FarCry 2, Medal of Honor 2010 singleplayer, and BFBC2 singleplayer. There are multiplayer adjustments for these games which work by simple text editing. For singleplaeyr, however, nothing works. There was an aspect ratio fixer which worked for FarCry 2 versions 1.02. The Steam version of FarCry 2 was updated to include the DLC and newest patch for all versions (1.04 now I believe), rendering that particular fix useless.

As an aside, if someone could help me clarify the difference between aspect ratio and FoV, they seem connected, but appear different to me. I'm looking for actual FoV adjustments for the singleplayer, up to date, versions of these titles.

I have no coding experience, but can follow directions in terms of unpacking, editing, and things of that nature.

Thanks for anyone taking the time to read this or offer any advice or help. To this point, I have ceased purchasing any titles until I know beforehand they have a suitable FoV.

Widescreen Fixer supports BFBC2.

Edit: Nvm that previous post.

@Dopefish, thank you for this. You just saved a single player campaign that I enjoyed very much. <3

1 down, 2 to fixes to go.

I went ahead and added support for Far Cry 2 to Widescreen Fixer. Update to r518 and it should be there.

After having checked for these many times I thought the regulars who were adamant about continually making fixes had given up. The level of frustration I get from the lack of basic fov and actual widescreen support has caused me to have many games uninstalled that I otherwise really enjoy. Especially considering Steam forces you to update your games which can break fixes that were not updated to work with new versions.

It may seem silly, but this is just my hobby, something I do to blow off steam and give myself a break from the day to day nonsense of real world stuff. Having games basically be broken because of what I view as incompetent devs blows my mind.

Not trying to get mushy or anything, but I can say that I really appreciate the fixes that come out of here.

Should I keep my hopes up for a fix on MoH, or should I cash my chips in now and move on, like I have with 99% of any future FPS titles? Totally understandable as I'm no longer a fan of how the FPS industry has changed.

I think MoH is the only title I have atm which is unplayable because of the fov. (Except this game called Twin Sector, but it's rather awful so I don't plan on going through that one anyhow.)

I've been having a look at Medal of Honor. I have a busy work week so I might not have a chance to look at it until next week.
