HD 5970 Eyefinity Will not Work

Hi,

I have an HD 5970 Toxic but can't get Eyefinity to work. I have 3 LG 24 inch screens with DVI ports (W2443T) that run when I connect them to the graphics card with a DVI cable or a passive mini DP to DVI adapter cable. However I can only get CCC to run two of them at once. I did some research and bought an active mini DP to single link DVI adapter (I wont be needing more than 1080p) officially supported by AMD (Wieson G9858C219-006-H), but when I try to plug in all 3 monitors now with the adapter it still does not work. CCC will now only detect the two monitors connected via DVI cables. What do I have to do to get it to detect the third screen connected via mini DP to SL DVI adapter + DVI cable?

Any help is greatly appreciated,

My Guess is the adapter is faulty.
