Will the 7970 support 4 screens out of the box? At the moment I have 2 6870's running crossfire with 2 active mini to Dvi dongles, one of the Dvi outs to a 3rd monitor and hdmi to my 47 inch vizio... Will that setup work with a 7970?

:Welcome

Hi, yes your existing setup is possible to be migrated over to the new card without any issues.
You already have all the required cables and adaptors with your 6870 so moving to the 7970 will be easy++.

If you check here http://widescreengamingforum.com/article/amd-radeon-7970-review you can see that the 7970 also has 2x mini-dp + HDMI + DVI connactors on the rear of the card.
