LCD monitor

Post by razulee »

Can i use my lcd monitor as a tv screen for computer games? I have an lcd screen but its not high definition, i know the new high definition monitors have the three jacks at the back for sound and picture like a TV and you can run playstation's and what not through them, mine being older obviously does not. I don't have the money or space for a new tv or Monitor, so im wondering if an add on exists? an extra cable that will add some jacks to my current monitor. Please tell me if there is and what its called. Thanks.

It is best to save up and buy a new one. Some are really cheap.

Yeah there's many things you can do.

For video games, you can buy cables that allow for a VGA output from the console. Just hook up the audio cable to the line in on your computer, or a decent set of speakers.

The other thing you can get is called a VGA Box, it translates the Component (Red, Green, Blue RCA Jacks) or Composite (Yellow RCA Jack) into a VGA Output. These range from cheap to expensive. These will work with both consoles and cable boxes.

Do a little google search.
