you expect them to support old gaming ? sorry but  on this one
they don't even always correctly support current scaling options or even new features such as EF

newer games are played at fullscreen res if the person knows how to go in the option menu at all or at default install res in most cases
they don't even notice that everything is stretched/distorted   (4/3 res on 16/10 or 16/9 monitor)

Where the fuck did I say anything about "supporting old gaming" ? OR anything about old gaming at all? Because "old games" are the only 4:3 content in existence, right?

Jesus it's a totally legitimate question. Both AMD and Nvidia support centered unscaled output and fullscreen scaled output. It's totally reasonable to ask why there aren't incremental steps inbetween or options like "pixel double/triple/quadruple/etc"

Old games are the only 4:3 content who would need "incremental scaling" at all because they are the only thing with low resolutions...

Sure, sorry I shouldn't have made fun of what you said so I sincerely apologize to you if you took offence.

However what I said still stands, that is :
Since AMD/Nvidia have a list of a dozen or two game titles that they officially "support" which means outputting profiles, improvements & fixes for those games in their drivers, you shouldn't expect those kind of things from them in the first place.

Old gaming doesn't make people buy next generation gfx cards, that's all there is to say ... unfortunately :|
