Anamorphic widescreen is considered as a valid way of doing widescreen, or at least preferable to vert- I think, since you're not losing part of the image.
Personally I don't mind the letterboxing you get on 16:10, since I used to play 16:9 letterboxed on my old 16:10 monitor anyway, but that's a discussion for a different thread I think.

How can the game be certified if you can't even get full use of your screen with 16:10 aspect ratio? I run at 25x16 and it is horizontally boxed top and bottom. I don't recall this happening on my 19x12 screen, though.
I agree. It is completely beyond me why a game that pulls this crap can even get an 'A' rating. Should be 'B' tops.
