I installed a blu-ray player about a month ago. That coupled with the Radeon 5850 and (3) 28" HDCP complaint screens seemed like a good idea. Unfortunately, that turned into a big "NO". I have a feeling that the active DP adapter (Apple) has rendered the situation useless.

There are a bunch of stipulations you have to follow, one of which is "only one monitor active."
System Core: | Intel Core i5-2500K + ASUS P8Z68-V + 16GB Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1333 MHz | Win7 x64 | MSI R7970 Lightning 3GB [1105/1400] |

i am struggeling with eyefinity and 720p projectors and id like to know if eyefinity always uses the max. supported resolution or the nativ.
if it uses the max supported i guess everybody attaching hd rdy displays 1366x768, 1280x720 etc. that can display full hd (interpolated) will be forced to use 5760*1080.
this would be a major issue.

10.2 Should be able to use intermediate resolutions. I believe the intermediate for 5760x1080 is actually 4800x900. But if you want to use 3840x720, you may have to make a EDID mask, this should still work as far as I know.

Re: eyefinity hd rdy - anyone tested ?
i tried that but it doesnt work at all. i lost the screen at the dp-vga adapter totaly and the cursor on the dvi-hdmi screen.
maybe it was due to not correct modifed edid, i uploaded my files in the other thread but until now no one responded - so i guess no one cares or no one has a clue whats wrong ;)
anyway... using hd rdy displays/projectors is crucial in my eyes. after all a 5870 cant run up to date games in 5760x1080 in full details. in iracing i have turn shadows off, lower analizing etc.. eyefinity for 3 full hd or 1920x1200 monitors is nice on paper but if u are serious it just dont works with high fps and eyecandy on. ati also announced to bring 3d support. that would double the pixel to render - no way u will see that working with the cards on the market for the next 6 month. crossfire isnt a option if u look at the very poor scaling even if it will improve to 60-70% 2x5870 wont be enough.
so if u want decent fps in surround u have to go with a lower res at the moment. if u want to use the upcomming 3d u just wont have another choice for a long long time... so instead of using lower res on expansive full hd displays and end with a poor interpolated image is smarter in my eyes to use cheaper hd rdy and have the better fps+image at the end.
