So i recently bought a ultrawide, i love it but i have low spec components so i run games at lower res on 16:9 monitors but when using ultrawide i cant go lower than 2560x1080p why is that? is there and work around?

2560x1080 is probably the only 21:9 Resolution known by your monitor.
If you want other stuff like 1707x720 or 1280x540 you would need to add a custom Resultion in your GPU driver settings or use an EDID editor.
