RyGaR,

Where is the fix posted? On FWS? I'm having a hard time connecting to the repository right now. I think it's down. Any way you can upload the file somewhere?

BTW, great work Helifax! Got so excited when I read your post for a incoming fix!

Kiax0001

EDIT: Nvm. Flawless repository is up and running again and saw the new plugin.

Glad it's working kiax0001 cause as much as I did enjoy playing it in res 1920x1080 it's even more engrossing and looks stunning in my monitor's native res 2560x1080 21:9....

Thank you SO much for the plugin!!! This game looks absolutely stunning in 3440x1440! I only bought the game after I had seen the fix worked.

I played around with forcing a custom resolution in Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty with the help of Borderless Gaming. I'm only using a 1920x1080 screen, but I found that if I launch the game in a window then use Borderless Gaming to set the window size to 1920x810 or whatever, it seems to correctly expand the aspect ratio (see screenshots). However, bringing up the pause menu will break it. I'm not sure if this trick would be useful at all, but thought I'd share it.

What a bummer. I noticed a profile for Ori in the flawless widescreen game list so I decided to to get it today on the steam sale and it's not working. Oh well... It was only 10 bucks...

i contact ori devs on twitter, they said this is in the plan to make 21:9 native
but should take long for release because they said this will have some "extra work/effort" to do on the game

i think i will not see this update anytime soon
any chances for 21:9 native resolutions for its last update?

I sent the update to Hayden but I see he didn't pushed it yet.
So in the mean time if you cannot wait:

- Be sure you have the plugin installed in FWS.
- Download the attached file: Updated Script
- Put this file in this location: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Flawless Widescreen\PluginCache\FWS_Plugins\Modules\OriAndTheSilentForest\Dependencies\Scripts"
- Restart FWS if you have it running.
- Play the game.

:)

In the recent days I have come into desperation because no longer could stand the fact that the developers do not support resolutions like the ones we use.
I came to consider replacing my monitor for an 16: 9, and also stayed with a tremendous desire to learn myself to fix my games, but I just did not know where to start. I didn't found any guide about it. :(

But I began to calm down again, because people like you guys, of the WSGF, gave me hope.

And i am still ready to learn about fixing games.

Honestly, once again, thank you for everything!

Many many thanks for taking the time to fix Ori - again.

I must be doing something wrong. I put the file in the right place, but when I alt - tab and enable the fix it doesn't seem to work correctly. It looks like the game is in the correct resolution, but it only appears on the center monitor. It takes up the full width of the center monitor, but the height is only about 4 in.....

Hi again helifax.

It seems that your fix breaks the map, both the zoom functionality and the fact that areas reveal as you visit them. Could you take a look when you have the time?

EDIT: It seems that this is not the case if the fix is applied after the game has started, only if you apply the fix, then start the game. So that's the solution to that, I guess.

I have the same problem as ThirdEyientist, the surround resolution with correct aspect ratio is shrunk down to fit in the middle third of the center monitor only.

Steam version, updates on
GTX 980 SLI, driver 350.12

Here is how I remember getting mine to work.

1. Open Flawless widescreen
2. Confirm that 3 boxes are unchecked
3. Open Ori game
4. ALT/TAB
5. Check all 3 boxes in Flawless Widescreen
6. Click on game in toolbar

Thanks for the fix from everyone involved. It is very much appreciated.

Can we please get an update for this? There was a patch on October that seems to have broken the last widescreen fix. At least, I can't get mine to work on Windows 10 following the steps previously mentioned.
