^^ Yep, all it does is stretch 16:9 to fill 21:9

It's not what I would call a fix, but rather a band-aid for those that hate the pillarboxing to the sides of the image. The resulting picture will appear stretched and squished as the aspect ratio isn't correct. Circles will become ovals, other players will be shorter and fatter, etc. Since it's extending the horizontal field unnaturally as well, the x-axis mouse movement will feel off from a y-axis. Not ideal for a shooter at all. YMMV!

No, not bannable at all. This is just doing the same thing many displays and HDTVs have built in with various aspect ratio / fullscreen / zoom / fill modes, but on the video card side of things. Nothing nefarious.

You can get similar results by running the game in a standard 16:9 resolution, and using your monitor's OSD to stretch the image to fill the screen if it has support for that sort of thing. Poke around and see.

Now if you were to hex edit the .exe or use a hack for proper 21:9 support, that would probably be bannable. Stretching the picture is totally legit (and not desirable).

With all due respect for your efforts. This is such a clickbaity misleading thread. Might as well have called it "here is how to stretch your image for 21:9 monitors".
