Hello

Im looking to change my monitors but unsure what to get

I currently have 3 23" asus mx239h ips screens on a tripple monitor stand the monitors have a vesa adapter and tbh their rubbish the screen just wobbles about

I use my pc for web design all day and gaming in the evening so want somthing that's good for both

My pc spec is

6700k processor
16gb ddr4
Radeon r9 390

Do I get 3x 4k but play games in tripple 1080 (as gfx card wont handle tripple 4x)

Or do I get 3x 1080p screens that are better than my current ones vesa mounted, better colour, 144hz maybe

Hello AElleray :welcome

I would keep the following in mind:

1. Not all games work with multi monitor setups such as nVidia surround or in your case AMD Eyefinity. So you might have to play some games on the center monitor.
2. Even if you have a 4k monitor or like in my case 1440P, you can always reduce the resolution to 1080P or 720P as long as the aspect ratio stays the same (so it's not distorted or have black bars)

So with this in mind, I would try and get the largest IPS panels in a 16:9 aspect ratio. I would also make sure they support FreeSync if your video card supports this, unless you plan to change it. Running my games in nVidia Surround with G-Sync is amazing. Especially when it drops below 60FPS and it's still liquid smooth.
