Hi there,
I have been running two GTX480s in SLI for a while now. They have served me well, but recently one of them blew a fuse so it's time to upgrade.

I would like to be able to run Fallout4 at 6080x1080 on a single graphics card that doesn't sound like a helicopter once the fans kick in.

I am currently eyeing these two cards...

Questions:
  • Can the 970 handle Fallout 4 at 6080x1080?
  • The 980 is about $250 more than the 970 - would I see a noticable difference?

Thanks,
Dan

Go for the 980.
The 970 only has 3.5gbyte RAM on the fast lane.
