Just wanted to get your thoughts on whether this upgrade is overkill or not.

I currently have 2 GTX 680 2GB reference cards running in SLI on 3 x Acer H236HL bid monitors (5920x1080), but I am hitting the 30 fps Roadblock on War Thunder and going to around 20 fps on World of Tanks, so was thinking of stepping up to something that might be able to handle 3 monitors a little better (4gb vs. 2gb).

I have an opportunity to pick up 2 used R9 290's for C$575 for the pair. I can probably offload my 680's for around C$400 total, meaning the net upgrade cost is $175.

I know the answer is going to be something like 'is it worth it for you to spend the extra $175 on a card upgrade?', but seriously- tell me if I'm just being dumb and should stick to my 680's or whether there will actually be a performance increase?

Many thanks all!
