So right now I'm running a single Dell 27" U2713HM (2560 x 1440), but I want to step up to three of them (so 7680 x 1440). I currently have a Radeon 7950 3GB, but as it barely puts up acceptable frame rates on BF4 High at 2560x1440, and gets hot doing so, I was looking also for a graphics upgrade.

What's my best option (In a budget of somewhere between $500-750)?

A single high-performance Radeon card (e.g. R9 290X)
two lower Radeon cards in Xfire (e.g. R9 280X)
A single high-end nVIDIA card (e.g. GTX 780 Ti)
two lower nVIDIA cards in SLI (e.g. GTX 770)

Thoughts/Opinions?

I'd recommend 780Ti SLI but thats a little out Our price range.
Two 290 in Crossfire have the best Performance /cash ratio.

Crossifre 280x is not worth it, as it would be nearly the same as 7950 Crossfire.

What CPU do you have? And whats your definition of acceptable frame rates.

I have an Intel i5-4670K. "Acceptable" would be somewhere between 40-60 fps minimum.

Looking at Newegg, none of the R9 290s have more than a single DP out.
