I was wondering if an overclocked 3930k with dual 780s will last me at least two years before I need to upgrade. The cpu is fairly future proof and can last me even 4 years of CADing and content creation but for multi monitor gaming will two gtx 780s last me long enough to play 5760x1080 with at least 60 fps with pretty good settings?

I'd go ahead and say yes. They're very new cards and while you might not be maxing out BF5 (or whatever comes out in two years) you can most definately play it on good settings with good fps unless something very drastic happens in the gaming/gpu industry :P

no chance.

The PS4 and Xbox720 will release this year.
I'd say the new Hardware in those will lead the game developers in games that could use way more Hardwarepower. Thus getting 60FPS on highest setting won't work.
But it doesn't seem like the next GPU generation will be much more powerfull. the 780 is an awesome GPU and kinda Futureproof.
Except that no GPU is futureproof because of the new consoles.... IMHO!
