Post subject:  No EQ on those Corsair SP2500 speaker system?

Based on the review that was on the front page of WSGF of the Corsair SP2500 Speak System I ordered a package from Amazon and just got them tonight. So I just installed them and....

... Well, everything seems to be in fine working order but the EQ. As I try each type of EQ selection the sound is exactly the same? Shouldn't I instantly hear the difference of each particular setting like POP, Jazz, etc? I hear no difference as if they are all flat (like reference mode).

Anybody have a set of these that can direct me? From the rave reviews I was expecting to get a big WoW out of these. But so far I am a bit underwhelmed :( My THX rated Logitech speakers ($149 retail), sound a whole lot better. I sure hope it's just a EQ thing.

Thanks,

Clutch

Post subject:  The EQ settings are meant to

The EQ settings are meant to be subtle. They aren't intended to add artificial color to your sound. Are you EQ-ing your music or game on your sound card? Also, what you are listening to will matter. If you're listening to hip-hop, which is quite bass heavy, then the tweaks to the mids and highs may go largely unnoticed. Finally, sound is subjective. There are tons of people who like the Beats line of products. However, they are designed to accurately reproduce sound. They are very bass heavy. What you may be used to, or what you want, may not be what the Corsair product was designed to do.

I'm sorry that the review led you to buy a product you didn't end up liking.
