P67 is the upcoming chipset that implement socket 1155 for the new Core i Sandy Bridge based processors [very] early next year.

I want to know how they're going to sell that board.

Is that a heatsink? Does it work? Does it make the chips/PCB hotter if it isn't?
Is it an EMI shield? Does it work? Or is it marketing nonsense?

From what i read, it is supposed to help cooling the chips and protect the board against physical damage and/or short circuits caused by metal objects.
