I guess this happens when big players like BFG and XFX stop marking your products.

Seen cards not mentioning a specific manufacturer before now... they were usually Leadtek/PNY on the nVidia front or Sapphire on the ATi front. (All 'Built by ATi' cards are actually Sapphire, IIRC...)

Not really news, I guess, but interesting nonetheless. :)

Yeah, apparently this comes after nV told XFX that "XFX's European operations will cease to be an NVIDIA Approved Partner". Not quite sure what it means for us, but sure sounds like they might not have anyone making their cards soon ;)

XFX start selling ATi cards... nVidia drops them as a favoured supplier... XFX doesn't release an GTX4x0 cards... yeah, 'twas pretty much guaranteed, eh? :)
