So I'm in the market for a new monitor. What I'm running now is an old Dell 2005fpw. It's been solid, nothing wrong with it, but I go over my dads house and see him using a 15"... I think I could get an upgrade for myself and give him my current one.
For starters, here are the stats on my current:
1680x1050
300 cd/m²
Contrast: 600: 1
12ms
So, I'm looking in the 22"-24" range. Probably want something 5ms or less. The main thing I can't really decide on is whether to go 1900x1200, or get the 1080P. I know almost all of my games support 1680, how is it for 1080p? I've got a pretty new system (core i7, 5870, etc...) so I could probably push 1080p without much of a performance hit.
As for my uses, I primarily play games. I won't be hooking it up to watch TV or Play 360/PS3 (Got a 52" Samsung LCD for that).
Here are the two I've kind of targets. Both are the same price on the egg:
24" Samsung ToC T240
1900x1200
5ms
DC 20000:1(1000:1)

24.6" Samsung P2570
1900x1080
2ms
DC 70000:1(1000:1)

Thoughts and suggestions would be great. If anyone has any links to good deals those would be appriciated.
