How do I connect a speaker to my Xbox 360 HD VGA Cable? I'm getting a new monitor, but I have no idea how to get the sound. I know the Xbox 360 HD VGA cable comes with those red and white connectors. How do I connect those so that I can listen to the sound, aka connect them to some sort of sound output? Please let me know! Thanks!

If your monitor has the RCA plugs (red/white), just plug straight in there. If it only has the headphone (3.5mm phono) plug, you will need a converter like this:

If your monitor doesn't have any speakers or speaker input, you will need to use either the line-in on your PC (which means you have to have it turned on to hear the Xbox), or you use the same converter to plug it into an aux input on a desktop speaker system.

The official VGA cable actually comes with the phono to minijack converter.

I'm actually suspicious that this is spam. We've had a few bits of 'semi-relevant' spam recently... although the name is less random than the spammers, so maybe it isn't...
