hello, i'm trying to build a multi-display setup, i have 1 monitor and 1 projector (i am planning to add a second monitor and a new PC). i need to be able to seamlessly put video/ppt on a projector (professional looking for presentations), and also be able to operate the computer from another monitor.

if i set it up as Dualview, that works great for being able to work on the one screen while the presentation is happening. However, if i want to play a video, i have to turn on the projector, drag the video over onto the projector and hit play and than hit maximize. this looks very unprofessional. i would like to be able to hit "no show" on the projector, get the video 100% ready, and simple turn the projector back on with a full video prepped and ready to go.

if i set my pc on "clone," i can get the smooth transition with "no show," but than i can't edit and change things in the background which i need to be able to do.

my thinking is that if i could set the computer to Dualview, have some type of a VGA splitter (which i can't find for sale) so that what is on one screen matches the projector, and what is on the other screen is my desktop. than i could drag videos over to my other monitor while the projector is on "no show," maximize it and get it ready to go, take off "no show" and it would be perfect. however i can't find a vga splitter device, nor do i know if such exists.

any help would be greatly appreciated? right now the pc i am using has an nvidia video card, but in the new one i could stick something different if needed.

There are two programs I can think of on the top of my head that might help you in this regard:

Multimon
Ultramon
