Do you think that its worth getting a Directx 10 card now? Or do you find it better to wait?

I'm waiting untill all the issues are worked out with the drivers etc. I also don't feel like getting vista just yet.. mainly the price of upgrading is holding me back, but the performance isn't great yet either so thats also stoping me.

Nothing wrong with the current cards besides a few drivers need to be cleaned up, but if you dont need it. Waiting will probably benifit you with a better card and better drivers.

If not then atleast you know you can get a better price!

I'll buy a new computer in the next days and I'm probably getting a 8800gts 640MB. But I also think about buying a 1950pro first and switching to a DX10 card a half a year later.

I think it's worth buying a DX10 card if you're upgrading just because they're some of the best on the market right now.

However, I think it's not worth it to upgrade JUST because you want DX10. DX10 still has a bunch of bugs and isn't in many games yet.

I bought a BFG 8800 GTX OC2. It was a big upgrade over my 7900 GT SLI setup, even just for Windows XP / DirectX 9. I'm able to run at 1920x1200 with higher AA and AF values than before. I haven't installed Vista yet, but I didn't upgrade for the DX10 capability anyway. I just wanted a fast card for DX9, and that's what I got. I've had very few driver issues, other than the flat panel scaling issue (for which they issued a workaround last month).

I would personally go with Ati HD2900xt, because Crysis is said to take full advantage of what it has to offer.
