Don't remind me, packerfan, please. ;)

I was hoping to reuse an old case for a fun project, but I think I'm gonna have to bin it unless I can find some bolts the right size! I'm using 38mm thick fans, and the included bolts are too short... to make matters worse, they're a standard that is an absolute pig to find in the UK. I've been all over today looking for 'em, and they just don't exist.

I don't want to give up, but I really need to get this AMD rig up and running one way or another. The stock fan is SO LOUD!

I had a problem like that when trying to attach my large fans to my triple radiator, I couldn't find the screws I needed anyway, luckily the problem was the opposite to yours, the screws they provided were to long. So my good friend Mr Hacksaw helped me cut the 12 of them down to size.

I've found a way around the 'too short' issue, but now they're too long... and I'm not in a hacksaw mood, so need to rig up some spacers.

Proper cut-to-length-desired old-fashions rawlplugs are now impossible to get. Dammit.
