Hey guys, Sorry if this has been answered somewhere else before but I've been looking around and can't find a definitive answer, as everything I've managed to find is at least 11 months old. I've recently bought a couple of dell U3014's for a bargain and I have a couple of the old Dell 20" 1600x1200 displays lying around. I've been trying to find out if nvidia support PLP in surround natively as I remember a few years back amd were suggesting that they would support someting along those lines. I sort of don't want to have to use 3rd party software to get the surround working. I've just built the desktop 2 days ago but the screens are still in the mail so I can't experiment until they arrive but any advice would be greatly appreciated to shed some light on the issue. The GPU is a GTX 770. Cheers |

Hi Unfortunately Eyefinity and Surround doe not support PLP configurations. I once tried to get a hardware device manufacture to try upgrade one of their existing products but sadly they deemed there not to be enough demand for them to take on the suggested upgrades to their device. More here... http://www.wsgf.org/article/displayport ... lp-support At present there really is no easy way to do PLP with the only method really available is with the use of a free 3rd party software called 'SoftTH' which is limited to DX9. |

Hey and thanks for the welcome Damn was really hoping for some PLP gaming but don't think I can go back to DX9 Guess I'll have to either take the deep plunge and build a PC that can power a 7680x1600 resolution or move down to 24's. Cheers for the quick response though |

I might wait and see how hot the r9 290's handle once the third party coolers come onto the market. I don't fancy turning my computer into a heater at this point |
