"The as yet un-named card looks set to come equipped with four Nvidia Surround-compatible DVI outputs, as well as a bonus single mini-HDMI output. The card will also sport a healthy 2GB of GDDR5 memory and beefy 8+2 power phases to keep everything running smoothly."

Interesting, but two questions pop to mind, is that 1GB per core, 2 GB total, also, isn't NVidia surround limited to 3 monitors by the drivers, thus rendering both the extra DVI and the HDMI ports as useless if you want to run in that mode? |

As I understand, its 1gb per core, and the additonal DVI or HDMI port is simply for an addtional monitor that is not part of the surround envrioment. |

And the 4 DVI will be for 4 productivity monitors kinda like how the 460 2win works. You can either have 3 monitors in surround or have 4 monitors with extended desktops. |

So it's essentially useless for Surround, given that it's 1GB per core. Wonderful. |

Well, "useless" may be a bit harsh, I was able to get by for awhile with only 896MB of VRAM with my GTX 295s, though performance wasn't always highly desirable. It would be a good choice for anyone without an SLI capable motherboard, but beyond that - depending on the price - there are likely better solutions. |
