If anyone missed it, Gainward announced an upcoming GTX580 with 3gbs of ram. Bank accounts everywhere will be getting drained. Interested in seeing benchmarks tho. Uldred |

Did they say how much it was going to be? I couldn't find a price anywhere.. I imagine it's going to be expensive though. :P |

This is also being discussed here http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=21987 Gainward did not announce recommended price for the novelty, but it is very likely that it will be higher compared to $499 of the typical graphics card with 1.5GB of memory.from link in first post :) |

Sadly it is also a 2.5 slot cooler. Lots of thought went into that one. Lets make a GFX card that will be best used in sli for triple screen but make it not fit lots of the motherboards out there. Yes I could use slot 1 and 3 but that then get in the way of other things. Looks like I will need to wait on a 3gig card with a standard cooler. |
