Zotec have announced that it plans to release a Nvidia GTX460 with 4 monitor outputs comprised of 3x Displayport + 1x DVI-DL on a single card.
The card will have a clock speed of 710MHz and 2GB of GDDR5 VRAM

The card is to labeled "ZOTAC GeForceĀ® GTX 460 3DP"
With a maximum supported resolution of 6400x1200 with 4 monitors, or 4800x1200 with 3 monitors on the displayports.

Initial indications would seem that the card simply splits the 2x DVI-DL (2560x1600) pipelines into 4x DVI-SL (1600x1200) outputs as the displayports are limited to 1600x1200 each.

Source.

As good as the GTX460 cards have shown them selfs to be, I cant help but think that I dont really see why they would do this with the GTX460, as when you start to bump up the res you are going to need the extra grunt that the 470/480 would be better at providing, while also supporting Tri-SLI for a further boost.

I don't think nVidia allows a lot of fiddling with the GTX470/480 'formula'. :( Hence why we're seeing double-VRAM cards on the GTX460 almost as soon as release, but haven't seen any double-VRAM 470s or 480s. Which would push them into the Quadro territory.

Pity really, as if there were 3GB 480s around, I'd definitely be wanting them. While the 460s are good, they don't have quite enough grunt for some games in Surround - even the 2GB cards which take the VRAM bottleneck out of the equation for most things.
