So I got my new system upgrades all hooked up, 2 GTX 460s in SLI, fixed my realtek driver conflicting with SLI, Tested SLI on one monitor, everything worked fine. Overclocked the video cards a bit (I wish I had bought the FTW editions rather than the evga SC ones, it was only $10 more...) Then, in order for surround to be enabled I had to switch my Westinghouse L2410NM monitor from its VGA connection to HDMI (which subsequently led to the EDID problem where text is washed out, which is why I had been running it off the VGA input. I still have yet to fix this issue. I may try and swap monitors with a buddy, he wants a monitor with the inputs mine has and I need a regular DVI one)

Then it got bad. I activated it, and as expected, it blanked my screens, a couple of them came on again, but ultimately never came back fully. I rebooted, same problem. I had to reboot into safe mode so I could try to reinstall the drivers. I tried the 258 version and the beta 260 version, and had the same problem. I backed off of my overclock thinking that could have contributed to it, and I also noticed that the SLI cable was a bit loose, but considering that single monitor SLI worked flawlessly, (or so I thought, as I didnt bench it before/after so i dont know if it was truely working) I didnt think the cards had anything to do with it.

This is all on a fresh install of Win 7 Ultimate x64 on a core i7 930 @ 4.0GHz 12GB ram 3 OCZ Vertex 2 60GB SSDs in a raid 0 and 2 1TB storage drives (also had my old kingston SSD and velociraptor hooked up) I have a 750 watt corsair power supply, and highest I've ever seen my Kill A Watt go is 400, so I'm sure I have enough juice. I'm also running my old 8800GT 512MB as a dedicated Physx card, and if I have to, I'll run my other 2 monitors off of that so I can get SLI to work for single monitor gaming.

Lastly, Randomly, after taking out the overclock, the monitor hooked to my secondary card got very distorted, and full of artifacts, but it only happened once, and after a reboot its been fine. I was monitoring temps and there were no fluxuations, the 8800GT was actually 20 degrees higher.

Anything I can do here?
